Following three restaurant openings in a 90-day span, the healthy drive-thru franchise signs five additional leases as experienced operators continue investing in the brand
Coeur d’Alene, ID (RestaurantNews.com) Konala, the healthy drive-thru franchise known for its high-protein bowls and streamlined operating model, has signed five new franchise leases across Utah and Idaho, continuing the brand’s rapid expansion as demand for healthier, more convenient dining options grows.
The latest leases include four locations from Speedy Foods LLC, a multi-unit franchise group developing 25 Konala restaurants across Northern Utah and Idaho:
- 777 W. Main St., Suite 120, Boise, Idaho
- 4179 Riverdale Rd., Riverdale, Utah
- Raymond Shopping Center, intersection of Main Street and 40 North Street, Logan, Utah
- 1815 W 2700 N, Farr West, Utah
Existing franchisee Tyson Adams, who recently opened Konala’s Provo restaurant, has also signed a lease for his second location at The Shops at Sky View in Lehi, Utah, a new 300,000-square-foot mixed-use retail destination anchored by Target and Life Time.
“We’re seeing more consumers prioritize healthier, high-protein food without sacrificing convenience, and our franchisees are responding by continuing to invest in the brand,” said Trace Miller, Founder and CEO of Konala. “The demand is there, and we’re building in the communities where we believe Konala can become part of people’s everyday routine.”
Adams said opening his first Konala restaurant only reinforced his confidence in the concept.
“From day one, we saw how much demand there was for what Konala offers,” Adams said. “The operational model is incredibly efficient, the guest response has been outstanding, and signing another lease was an easy decision. We’re excited to keep growing with the brand.”
The new leases build on Konala’s recent momentum, following restaurant openings in Spokane, Washington, Provo, Utah, and an upcoming opening in Belleville, New Jersey later this month. With additional locations expected before year-end, the brand continues to attract experienced multi-unit operators drawn to its simplified kitchen, lower-labor operating model, and fast drive-thru experience.
