Inside IT JUST IS: 100% Kotton on 800 Hours, 126 BPM, and the Most Ambitious Album of His Career

100% Kotton Unveils "IT JUST IS," Kotton Grammer's 25 Track Deep House Album Arriving July 3, 2026
After nearly 800 hours in the studio across Miami and Orlando, the artist behind some of deep house's most distinctive recent work delivers his fifth studio album. Brighter, faster, and engineered for the dance floor.
Miami / Orlando, FL. When Kotton Grammer, the entrepreneur and digital marketer who records and performs under the name 100% Kotton, talks about IT JUST IS, he doesn't lead with the streaming math or the rollout calendar. He leads with hours. Specifically, the roughly 800 of them he logged building the record between late 2025 and early May 2026. That is more time, he says, than he has ever poured into any single creative project in his life.
IT JUST IS, the fifth full length album from 100% Kotton, is scheduled for release on July 3, 2026 through From Future Records. The album contains 25 tracks and marks a deliberate tempo and energy shift for the project. Where the last several 100% Kotton albums hovered around 118 BPM, a hypnotic head nodding zone, IT JUST IS moves closer to 126 BPM. It plants itself squarely in territory designed to move bodies rather than just heads.
We sat down with Kotton Grammer to discuss the album, the process, and what comes next.
The album was completed in early May 2026. How are you feeling about it now that you've had a few weeks of distance?
"Honestly? I was in reflection recently and I don't think I've ever put this much time and energy into a single project. Close to 800 hours. That's not a number I'm throwing around for marketing. That's a real accounting of what this record asked of me. And the strange part is, the more time I spent with it, the more I knew it wasn't done until it was actually done. IT JUST IS is exactly the title it needed. It is what it is. I'm proud of it."
What's different about this record sonically?
"The DNA is still 100% Kotton. Anyone who has lived inside the catalog will recognize the signature. The psychedelic textures, the layered voices, the depth, the sense that you're somewhere very specific and a little bit otherworldly when the music is playing. That's not going anywhere. What changed is the energy. The last few albums sat around 118 BPM. This one lives closer to 126. It's brighter. It's more energetic. A lot of these tracks were built explicitly for the dance floor, for the kind of room where the lights drop and people stop checking their phones."
So it's still deep house, but a more kinetic version of it?
"Right. I'd call it psychedelic deep house, leaning luxury house in places, but this album also stretches further than that. There are moments that lean into broader EDM and electronica, and there are chill moments too. It moves across a fairly wide spectrum without losing the through line. It's still the sound that's unique to 100% Kotton. I don't think it sounds like anyone else's record, and that's intentional. I'm not chasing a trend with this album. I'm extending a vocabulary I've been developing across five albums and more than a hundred songs. IT JUST IS is the next chapter, not a pivot."
Who do you draw from when you're shaping that sound?
"If I had to pinpoint a few influences, George Michael for the layered vocals, Seal's first album, Tame Impala, Frank Ocean, Calvin Harris. Those are the reference points that live in the back of my head. I'm not trying to copy any of them. It's more that they all built sonic worlds you can disappear into, and that's what I want every 100% Kotton record to do. Build a world. Pull you in."

25 tracks is a lot of music. Why that length?
"Because that's what survived the process. I started this album with about 45 tracks built from scratch. By the time I was deep into selection, the folder had over 35 completed songs in it. I narrowed it to 25, and every one of those 25 could stand on its own as a single. I don't believe in filler. If a song doesn't have legs, it doesn't make the album. Period."
Walk us through that selection process.
"It's pretty specific. I finish a song, upload it to SoundCloud on private, and then I put it through the gauntlet. I take it to the gym and listen to it. I drive around in my car with it. I sit with it for days or weeks. The folder keeps growing. Some tracks I get exhausted of, and the second that happens I know they're getting cut. Some tracks I can't get enough of, and those are the ones that earn a place on the record. That's how I make an album. The music has to survive me before it survives a listener."
About the Artist
For readers encountering 100% Kotton for the first time through this release, the project is the recording alias of Kotton Grammer, an entrepreneur based between Miami and Orlando, Florida. Outside of music, he is the founder of Kotton Grammer Media, a digital marketing and SEO agency he started in 2013, and From Future (fromfuture.io), a company building AI voice agents, chatbots, and automation systems for businesses. He is also a co founder of OMG Machines, a digital marketing education platform that trained more than 25,000 marketers and generated over $30 million in course sales before he stepped away from it.
The music side operates through From Future Records, an independent label distributing the 100% Kotton catalog. The project has released five studio albums and more than 100 songs in the deep house and luxury house space.
The music is available on all major streaming services, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, SoundCloud, and Tidal. Tracks are also available in the creator sound libraries on Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Snapchat, which means producers, influencers, and brands can soundtrack their videos with 100% Kotton music directly inside those platforms.
Back to the record itself. What does the title IT JUST IS mean to you?
"It's a posture. It's the opposite of striving. So much of how I move through the rest of my life, building agencies, building software, building teams, is about pushing, optimizing, iterating. Music isn't that for me. Music is the place where the thing exists or it doesn't. You make it, and at some point you stop making it, and what's left is what's left. IT JUST IS. I wanted the title to reflect that posture. No apology. No overexplanation. The record is the record."
And the next album is already 40% complete?
"Correct. The fall 2026 album is well underway. I don't usually announce records before they're closer to finished, but I want listeners to know that IT JUST IS isn't the end of a run. It's the middle of one. There's a lot more 100% Kotton music coming."
